How to Brew with the Moka Express
- Fill the bottom chamber with cold water up to (but not over) the safety valve
- Insert the funnel filter and fill it with finely ground coffee — level off but don't tamp
- Screw the top chamber on tightly — wipe any stray grounds from the rim first
- Place on stovetop over medium heat — too high will scorch the coffee
- Listen for the gurgle — when you hear a sputtering sound, the coffee is ready
- Remove from heat immediately and serve into espresso cups or latte glasses
