The Bezzera Aria R PID is the top of the Aria range: a quiet internal rotary pump, digital PID temperature control with an on-screen shot timer, and an E61 flow-control device included as standard. It shares the Aria's compact Italian chassis and 1.5L copper heat-exchanger boiler, so you can brew and steam at the same time.

Unlike the vibration Aria V, the R PID gives you a choice of water supply: run it from the 3L internal tank, or plumb it straight into the mains. That makes it equally at home on a kitchen bench or in a busy office or small café setting.

What sets the Aria R PID apart

Quiet rotary pump

An internal rotary pump runs noticeably quieter than a vibration pump and delivers smooth, consistent pressure through the shot.

PID with shot timer

Digital PID holds a precise, stable brew temperature you can adjust to suit different beans, with an on-screen shot timer for repeatable extractions.

E61 flow control included

A built-in E61 flow-control device lets you shape pressure and flow by hand during extraction, no aftermarket upgrade needed.

Tank or plumbed in

A dual water-source system lets you use the 3L internal tank or connect directly to the mains, so you can set it up wherever suits.

Water supply: The Aria R PID is not plumbed-in only. It runs from either the 3L removable tank or a mains water connection, whichever you prefer. (The separate non-PID Aria Rotary machine is a tank-only model with limited availability.)

Aria V vs Aria R PID — which should you choose?

Both machines share the same compact chassis, 1.5L copper heat-exchanger boiler, E61 group and twin pressure gauges, and both can brew and steam at the same time. The difference is the pump and the controls:

Is the Aria R PID plumbed-in only?

No. The Aria R PID has a dual water-source system, so you can run it from the 3L removable tank or plumb it directly into the mains, whichever suits your setup.

What is the difference between the Aria V and the Aria R PID?

Both share the 1.5L copper heat-exchanger boiler, E61 group and twin gauges. The Aria V uses a vibration pump and has no PID. Only the Aria R PID has a rotary pump, PID temperature control with a shot timer, and an included E61 flow-control device, plus the option to plumb in.

Does it come with flow control?

Yes. An E61 flow-control device is included as standard on the Aria R PID, so you can manually shape pressure and flow during the shot without an aftermarket upgrade.
