Di Pacci Coffee Co. — Roasted In-House — Australia

After Dark Blend 250g Dark Roast Coffee Beans

Our boldest, darkest blend — roasted in-house for an intense, full-bodied cup with notes of caramel, hints of red berries, and a long, smooth finish. Strong and rich, After Dark is built for drinkers who like their espresso to stand up loud and clear, especially through milk.

Blended from four origins — Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea — and taken to a dark roast, After Dark delivers a robust crema and low perceived acidity that suits espresso machines, plunger and filter alike. It's one of Di Pacci's most popular blends, with a loyal following among home baristas who want café-strength coffee without leaving the kitchen.

Flavour Profile

After Dark is all about depth. The dark roast develops the sugars in the beans into rich caramel sweetness, while the underlying origins keep a thread of bright, fruity character — hints of red berries and pitted fruit — woven through the body. The finish is long and smooth rather than sharp or ashy, so the intensity reads as bold, not burnt.

Frequently Asked Questions

How strong is the After Dark blend?

After Dark is one of our most intense blends — a true dark roast with a bold, full body and robust crema. It's strong and rich without being ashy, with caramel sweetness and a long, smooth finish that carries well through milk.

Can I get the beans pre-ground?

Yes. After Dark ships as whole beans by default, but espresso, plunger and filter grinds are available as a special request at checkout. For the freshest cup we recommend whole beans and grinding to order if you have a grinder.

What's the best way to brew After Dark?

It shines as espresso. A good baseline on a standard machine is a 21g basket, 22g dose in, 40ml out, in around 30 seconds — then adjust to taste. It also works beautifully in a plunger or filter for a fuller, lower-pressure brew.

How many cups will 250g make?

At roughly 18–22g per double shot, a 250g bag yields around 11 to 13 espressos. For filter or plunger brewing using slightly less coffee per cup, you'll get a few more.

Is shipping free?

Free shipping applies on all orders over $200 across Australia. Orders under $200 ship at a standard $14.95, with freight charges possible for non-metro and bulky items. Stock up or add a bundle to reach the free-shipping threshold.
