How do I care for the Walnut handle?

Don't soak the handle or leave it wet after use – this can cause the timber to split. Minor surface cracking over time is normal ageing for a wood handle and doesn't affect how it performs.

Is the spout removable?

Yes. The stainless steel spout detaches from the handle, which makes it easier to clean.

What does "naked" or "bottomless" mean for this portafilter?

It means the portafilter has no spout covering the basket outlet, so you can see the shot extract directly. This gives a centred, even pour and makes it easier to spot channelling or an uneven puck.

Almost perfect

The handle is good quality and attractive, but was very tight on my Ascaso coffee machine, we then noticed the handle was too thick at the neck and needed between 1 to 2mm filed off it to make a secure fit (we did have some issues with spurting prior to filing down) once this was done we have had no issues.
