Bideli · 1kg Drum Roaster · Electric · Café & Micro-Roastery

Bideli 1kg Electric Coffee Roaster — Black & White

The Bideli 1kg is a compact drum roaster built for cafés, coffee labs, roasting training schools, and micro-roasteries that need reliable output without a full-scale production floor. Batch sizes from 200g to 1,500g, roast times of 8–15 minutes, and output of 4–6kg per hour — enough for a specialty café doing in-house roasting or a roasting school running back-to-back training sessions.

This is the electric version in the Black & White finish. Electric heat means no gas line required — plug into a standard 240V commercial supply and you're running. The double-walled drum uses conductive and convective heat transfer, FUJI PIDs for bean and air temperature, a manual damper for airflow control, and a rapid cooling tray that drops the beans down to ambient in 1–2 minutes. USB data logging is built in for Artisan roast profiling software. Guangzhou Bide has been building roasters since 1993 — this is a machine with three decades of refinement behind it.

Key Features

What You Need to Know

🥁 Double-Walled Drum

Double insulation layer with mixing blades for even heat distribution. Conductive and convective transfer — consistent roast from first batch to last.

🌡️ FUJI PID Temperature Control

Two PIDs — one for bean temperature, one for air temperature. Precise, repeatable control over your roast profile across every batch.

💨 Manual Damper — Airflow Control

Precise manual damper adjusts airflow through the drum, working with the separate chaff cyclone to remove chaff and smoke during roasting.

❄️ Rapid Cooling — 1–2 Minutes

Cooling and mixing motors work together to drop bean temperature fast after the drop. Preserves the roast profile you worked for — no coasting in residual heat.

💾 USB Data Logging — Artisan Ready

Built-in USB port logs roast data directly to Artisan roasting software. Record and replay profiles — essential for consistency across batches and operators.

🔍 Sight Glass + Sample Trier

LED-lit sight glass for visual monitoring mid-roast. Sample trier lets you pull and smell beans at any point without stopping the roast.

🗑️ Chaff Cyclone Collector

Separate chaff cyclone keeps the drum clean during roasting. Large removable container — easy access for cleaning between sessions.

🔧 Maintenance Access Panels

Large access panels on the body make cleaning and component replacement straightforward. No specialist tools required for routine maintenance.

⚡ Electric — No Gas Required

240V electric operation. No gas line, no gas safety compliance requirements. Runs off a standard commercial power supply — straightforward installation.

Who This Roaster Is Built For

✓ Good fit if you:

  • Run a café and want to roast small batches in-house
  • Operate a roasting training school or coffee lab
  • Need a micro-roastery machine without a full production floor
  • Want Artisan data logging and repeatable roast profiles
  • Don't have a gas line — electric-only setup works fine here
  • Roast 4–6kg per hour and need consistent output at that scale

✗ Look elsewhere if you:

  • Need gas operation — this is the electric-only version
  • Roast more than 6kg/hour regularly — consider the 2kg or 3kg Bideli
  • Want a home roaster — at 100kg+ and 4,860W this is a commercial machine
  • Need something fully automatic — the Bideli 1kg is manually operated
Questions

Bideli 1kg Roaster — FAQ

This listing is the electric-only version. It runs on 240V commercial power — no gas line, no gas compliance work required. The gas version uses the same drum and control setup but burns LPG or natural gas instead of electric heating coils. Electric is simpler to install and suits premises without gas infrastructure. Gas generally responds faster to heat changes during roasting, which some roasters prefer — but for most café and training applications, electric performs equivalently.
Yes — the Bideli 1kg has a built-in USB port for data logging that connects directly to Artisan. You can log bean temp and air temp in real time, record roast curves, and replay saved profiles. For anyone running a training program or trying to replicate a roast consistently across batches, Artisan integration is essential — and it's included at this price point.
The footprint is 94cm × 67cm, height 101cm, weight ~100–115kg. This is a tabletop commercial machine — it needs a solid, level bench or purpose-built stand (sold separately), sufficient bench depth for the trier and cooling tray access, and clearance above for ventilation. You'll also need ducting for smoke and chaff exhaust — factor that into your installation planning. Call Di Pacci on (02) 9758 0760 for installation advice.
Bideli offers three optional upgrades on the 1kg: Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring, drum speed control to adjust bean agitation during the roast, and a vacuum pressure gauge for airflow monitoring. These can be factory-fitted at order time. Contact Di Pacci to discuss which options suit your operation.
