The depth of the bowl is perfectly constructed for slurping, while still holding the same volume of coffee as traditional spoons.
According to SCAA standards, a regulation cupping spoon shall hold between .135 - .169 fluid ounces (4-5ml) of coffee sample and should be of non-reactive metal.
